Hey Pelham friends and neighbors,
I’m excited to officially announce that I’m running for Pelham City Council. Some of you may already know that I was appointed to fill the remainder of Councilwoman Mildred Lanier’s term after her recent move. That opportunity gave me a behind-the-scenes look at how our city runs, and it lit a fire in me to keep going—not just to finish this term, but to keep building on the progress we've made together.
This isn’t about politics for me. It’s about people. It’s about Pelham.
Pelham Is Home
My roots here run deep. I’ve lived in Pelham my whole life. I graduated from Pelham High School in 2000, and I’ve spent my adult life working, raising a family, and serving this city in every way I can. Over the years, I’ve seen our city grow and change. I’ve also seen the strength of our people—the way we show up for each other, rally around our schools, and take pride in being part of something bigger. That’s the kind of community I’m proud to represent.
3M Karts & Mowers: Built by Family, Fueled by Community
In 2001, we started a family business—Three M Karts & Mowers—right here in Pelham. It’s more than a job to me. It’s a symbol of the values I was raised with: hard work, honesty, and service. Running a small business for over two decades has taught me a lot—how to listen, how to problem-solve, and how to treat people right. I’ve helped neighbors get their equipment running, watched customers turn into friends, and seen firsthand how important local businesses are to the heartbeat of a community. 3M is also teaching my kids the value of a hard day’s work. I remain committed to supporting the city that’s always supported me.
Family First, Always
I’m a husband to Ashley and a proud dad to Corbin, Carly, Camryn, and Collins. Our family is all-in when it comes to Pelham. From coaching rec league sports to cheering at school events, we believe in showing up and staying involved. I want my kids—and yours—to grow up in a Pelham that’s safe, vibrant, and full of opportunity. That’s why I’m running. Not just for now, but for the future we’re building together.
Coaching, Community, and Commitment
Since 2015, I’ve volunteered as a coach for Pelham Parks & Rec—baseball, softball, and basketball. Coaching kids and being part of their journey has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. It’s about more than sports—it’s about teamwork, confidence, and building relationships that last. I’ve also served as President of the Pelham Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, where I had the chance to advocate for better facilities, stronger programs, and a more connected community. These are the kind of experiences that have prepared me to serve our city well.
What I’m Focused On
When elected, I’ll keep working hard for the things that matter most:
Public Safety - We all deserve to feel safe. I’ll continue working with our police and fire departments to make sure they have the resources they need.
Strong Schools - Pelham City Schools are a cornerstone of our community. As a parent, I’ll support efforts that strengthen our partnership with the school system and set our kids up for success.
Youth Sports & Recreation - Sports teach life lessons. I’ll advocate for continued investment in youth programs, parks, and facilities that bring families together.
Local Business & Smart Growth - As a business owner, I know what it takes to be successful in Pelham. I’ll fight for local businesses, support smart economic development, and make sure growth benefits all of us—not just a few.
Let’s Keep Moving Forward—Together
This campaign is about continuing progress together. I’m not a politician—I’m a husband, a father, a coach, and a small business owner. I love this city, and I believe in the people who make it great. I’d be honored to earn your support as we keep working to make Pelham an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
Let’s step up to the plate together—and knock this one out of the park. Thanks for being part of the journey.
-Michael
