Backing Growth That Works for Pelham

From day one on the City Council, I’ve made it a priority to support growth that makes sense… growth that strengthens our economy, attracts quality development, and supports small businesses. As a business owner myself, I know what it takes to build something from the ground up. That’s why I’ve shown up, done the work, and voted yes when it counted.
I’ve backed tax abatements that help business expand into Pelham, like the agreement with Specification Rubber Products, Inc. I’ve supported responsible annexations that expand our city’s footprint in a smart and strategic way, and I voted to adopt a completely updated zoning ordinance to modernize how we grow — while still protecting the character of our neighborhoods.
One major example was my vote to approve the rezoning for Tower Homes and 68 Ventures — a project that puts new rooftops on Highway 11 and adds much-needed housing options alongside future commercial development. That kind of smart, mixed-use planning helps attract restaurants and retailers while giving families more reasons to call Pelham home.

I’ve also supported investments in infrastructure that make business and residential growth possible…everything from waterline upgrades near the Pelham Splash Pad to major traffic signal and stormwater system improvements across town. These aren’t flashy projects, but they’re the kind of foundational work that makes our city stronger and more attractive to future investment.
When it comes to welcoming new businesses, I’ve voted yes on development agreements for local favorites like Jack’s and Edgar’s Bakery. The development in front of the Library will also welcome two new businesses to Pelham: Bullet Coffee and Waldo’s Chicken and Beer. These votes show business owners that Pelham is a city that supports smart growth and values its local economy. I’ve also supported digital upgrades to city services to make doing business in Pelham easier and more efficient. Less red tape means more opportunity.

I don’t just talk about smart growth. I’ve voted for it. I believe in a Pelham that grows the right way: with vision, balance, and a focus on keeping our hometown a place where families and businesses can thrive. We’ve made real progress, and I’m committed to continuing that momentum….together.
